Position Summary

Continuous rotating 12-hour shift:
o Days 7:15am - 6:45pm
o Nights 6:45pm - 7:15am
Starting Rate $35.01+ per hour based upon experience.
$7500 Sign On Bonus
Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Bridgestone Maintenance Technician (BMT) for our Wilson, NC facility. The BMT will report to a Group/Shift Lead (Supervisor) and will provide emergency and routine multi-craft maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This position (electrical, mechanical, and electronic) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives with preventative maintenance and quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians. The Wilson Plant is a highly automated tire manufacturing facility and produces Passenger Car and Light Truck Radial tires on a 24/7 basis.
Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairing Mechanical, Electronic, and Electrical Industrial Equipment

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment including Hydraulics and Pneumatic Equipment
  • Perform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating Technicians
  • Troubleshooting and repairing Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
  • Continuous improvement activities (Kaizen)
Minimum Qualifications

3+ years industrial maintenance technician experience in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing environment.

-or-

Completed apprenticeship program AND 2+ years multi-craft industrial maintenance experience

-or-

2-year technical degree (AS) in electronics, robotics, general technology, mechatronics or related technical field AND at least 2+ years of experience in a multi-craft industrial maintenance environment or equivalent military experience

-or-

4+ years of high-tech maintenance related military experience (e.g. US Navy- Nuclear or Aviation field, US Air Force Missile Technicians, etc.).
