Position Summary
The Industrial Engineering position focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., plant location, personnel work flow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.). An Experienced Professional position applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. This position must be able to work independently with general supervision and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
Conducts cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
Assists manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design
May assist in establishing accident prevention measures and manage production operations training programs for plant personnel
Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
