BWRs ensure compliance with safety procedures and maritime regulations. This role is essential for maintaining vessel security and efficiency while at sea.

What are the typical daily duties of a bridge watch rating onboard a vessel?

As a Bridge Watch Rating, your primary duties include maintaining a constant lookout, assisting with navigation under the supervision of deck officers, and reporting any hazards or changes in weather and sea conditions. You may also help with steering the vessel, monitoring navigational instruments, and conducting routine safety checks.
