Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission; compact license required
  • At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • Current certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP
  • Strong experience with high-risk OB, couplet care, postpartum care, and newborn care
  • Comfortable floating to Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and High-Risk Antepartum as needed
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Ability to work 3 of the 5 major holidays as scheduled
  • Reliable transportation required for the assignment
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
  • Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care
  • Support high-risk antepartum patients and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Deliver couplet care and perform newborn assessments with accuracy and confidence
  • Administer obstetric medications and treatments as ordered, following unit protocols
  • Document patient care accurately in Epic and maintain a high standard of safety and communication
  • Adapt to floating assignments and contribute to a flexible, team-oriented hospital environment
