What is a Shift Leader?
The Shift Leader is one who supervises the restaurant during a certain period of time, ensuring excellent service and optimum profitability by running an efficient and effective shift. During this period, you have the authority to make certain decisions that affect guest satisfaction.
This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift. This involves knowing all skill positions and the sequence of service from greeting the guest to exit greetings. Ensure operating shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllable, and sales growth.
The shift leader is a part of the management, as this provides an excellent foundation to build your career with our Firehouse Subs family!
To become a shift leader you must:
Have prior fast food/restaurant work experience (2 year or more preferred)
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Follow specifications, policies, and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and by the GM/ Owner
  • Be able to work in a team environment and promote teamwork
  • Be an effective communicator
  • Have a good attitude
  • Be reliable
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Represent Firehouse Subs in a professional, positive manner at all times
