Job description

Mid-Continental Restoration Co., Inc. is a leading contractor in exterior building repair, restoration, waterproofing and masonry. Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Fort Scott, Kansas, we are 100% Employee Owned and have offices strategically located to serve the Midwest from North Dakota to Texas. We have established a reputation of professionalism by developing some of the finest craftsmen in the trade who have been delivering on-time execution of commercial repair projects for over 75 years.


This posting is seeking Bricklayers for our Fort Worth, TX office.


Job Summary

A Bricklayer is responsible for constructing and repairing using brick, block, stone, concrete, and other masonry materials. Duties include reading blueprints, measuring work areas, mixing mortar, laying materials in patterns, and ensuring structures are level, secure, and built according to specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities


  • Travels throughout territory to assigned projects
  • Lay brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials according to plans and specifications
  • Mix and apply mortar or grout
  • Measure and cut materials to required dimensions
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment safely
  • Achieves production rates and quality standards as set forth by the industry and MCR
  • Ensure work meets quality and safety standards
  • Clean and maintain tools and work areas
  • Works high above the ground from a variety of scaffolding, lifts and rooftops
  • Competent in the erection and rigging of scaffolding and staging equipment
  • Work with supervisors and other construction personnel to complete projects on schedule
