Big Woods Restaurant & Brewery | Noblesville, Indiana

Big Woods Restaurant & Brewery is seeking an experienced and motivated Front of House Manager to lead daily restaurant operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This leadership role is essential to the success of our restaurant, overseeing front-of-house operations, team development, guest satisfaction, sales performance, labor management, and food and beverage service standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesRestaurant Operations & Guest Experience
  • Lead and supervise all front-of-house restaurant operations to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
  • Create a welcoming and positive dining experience by ensuring guests receive responsive, friendly, and professional service.
  • Support food and beverage quality standards by ensuring consistency in preparation, presentation, and service.
  • Step into operational roles as needed to maintain service excellence and efficient restaurant operations.
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness, organization, and facility appearance meet company and health department standards.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop front-of-house team members to achieve operational and service goals.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Make hiring, disciplinary, and termination decisions in accordance with company policies and General Manager guidance.
  • Administer fair, timely, and consistent corrective action when necessary.
Financial & Business Performance
  • Drive sales performance while helping achieve profitability and operational goals.
  • Manage labor scheduling based on business demands while controlling labor costs and maintaining service standards.
  • Oversee cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation procedures in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare reports, schedules, staffing plans, and operational documentation accurately and on time.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety, health, labor, and workplace safety.
  • Maintain restaurant equipment and ensure all operational tools are clean, functional, and in excellent working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager and Assistant Manager to support overall business objectives.
QualificationsRequired
  • Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality management, food service management, or front-of-house operations leadership.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Experience using restaurant technology, POS systems, scheduling software, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
  • Must obtain or possess a valid Indiana Alcohol Serving Permit.
Preferred
  • Experience with mixology, bar management, beverage programs, and alcohol service operations.
  • ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience leading high-volume casual dining, brewery, or hospitality operations.
