Job Description Summary:

Aviagen is a primary poultry breeding company located in several states in the US.
We are seeking an outstanding individual to become a part of the G.A.P. Team. The Grower-Aviagen Partnership (G.A.P.) Team has been created to facilitate the efficient and timely turn around for both rearing and lay facilities during the downtime between flocks. The G.A.P. Team will be responsible and accountable for coordinating and verifying all activities that are necessary to take place from the beginning of the move/depletion process through the disinfect/shavings process.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:BS in related field or equivalent work experienceTwo years of poultry experience preferred.Basic computer skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environmentAbility to work flexible hours including some weekendsMust be self-motivated and detail orientedGood communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsTeam orientedCurrent driver's licenseThe following duties will vary according to the needs of the department. Normal duties will include:Coordinating and verifying all activities that are necessary to take place from the beginning of the move/depletion process through the disinfect/shavings processFostering and strengthening contract grower relationsFostering and strengthening relationships with other departments through daily communications and interactionsClearly communicating all deadlines to the necessary people involvedEnsuring timelines are appropriate and deadlines are metPerforming daily, weekly and monthly progress reportsDaily local travel within the regional production baseBio-security and health & safety are major responsibilitiesMay perform other tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor
