We are looking for an Experienced Assistant Production Manager who will be primarily responsible for assisting breeder manager in directing and coordinating breeding operations, and ensuring delivery of quality product.

Job Description:

Oversee and manage assigned breeder operationsEnsuring required quantity and quality of hatch eggs are available for hatcheriesOversee all Breeder Producer relationships and all goods and services associated with their needsImplement and monitor all pullet and breeder production programsEnsure the training of development of all Breeder Representatives and TechniciansProvide communication and direction for contract growersMonitor development of contract growersMonitor pullet placements, moves, vaccinations and ensure hatch egg numbersProvide performance and cost numbers to accounting and managementMonitor pullet and breeder flock health and adherence to blood testing proceduresMaintain pullet growing agreements and breeder flock agreementsLead and manage in a way consistent with company's values and strategic objectivesEnsure compliance with company policies and regulations (i.e. Animal Welfare, Safety, Environmental, etc.) Job Qualifications:Associate's Degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science or related field from an accredited institution OR 4 years equivalent education and experienceMinimum 4 years' poultry breeder operational experienceMinimum 4 years' supervisory experience within a similar environmentAdvanced poultry science knowledgeDemonstrated high level of initiative and ownership of projectsAbility to confront and manage through conflict situations with employees and contractorsHigh work capacity, dependable, results oriented and strong sense of urgencyStrong leadership and supervisory skillsDemonstrated success building effective teams with proven ability to lead by engaging and motivating a team and influencing an organizationHighly effective interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with all levels within organizationDemonstrated advanced knowledge of math functions and skillsSolid computer skills particularly with MS Office programsAdvanced organizational skills, with attention to detailDemonstrated sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
