Essential Duties:
  • Team: Embody La Farm values through action, example, and communication: Exceed Customer Expectations, Quality, Dignity, Community, Learning, Teaching, and Innovation
  • Customer Service: Ensure and exude world-class customer service and sales to internal and external customers. Includes saying bonjour (hello) to every customer. Engage verbally with each customer and effectively sell through product knowledge and suggestive selling. Show pride in every aspect of your work and perform it with friendliness, energy, and enthusiasm. Product Knowledge: Actively demonstrates product knowledge (bread, pastry, baked goods, coffee, cheese, and specialty goods) to enable effective sales, up-selling, sampling, pairing, merchandising, and fronting of products.
  • Packing: Tender effective packing of breads and bakery products for maximum quality,, zero breakage and accurate invoice picking to assure accurate customer fulfillment.
  • Delivery: Safe courteous driving, you are a representative of La Farm, ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermine customers with accurate signature of time and quantity of product received.
  • 3AM start time
Other Essential Duties:
  • Customer service: Ensure and exude world class customer service and sales to internal customers and external customers by building long term professional relationships with customers, including saying hello to each customer, ideally by name. The driver is also responsible for reporting all customer complaints and inquiries to their manager the same day they receive the information from the customer.
  • Quality: Confirm La Farm quality upheld on products before packing. Inspect customers use of product and shelf life to assure proper representation of La Farm quality standards.
  • Vehicle Safety and Maintenance: Completes vehicle safety pre-check prior to driving (gas, tire treads, lights, wind shield wiper, and accurate maintenance log up to date), adjusts mirrors and seat for maximum safe driving reports, adheres to all road rules and completes post-check to assure that vehicle is clean, gassed, and stocked for next shift.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Follows proper driving and vehicle maintenance during shift and communicates maintenance issues to supervisor or manager on duty to assure large investment of vehicle is maintained to maximum standards of safety and upkeep.
  • Invoicing: Protects companys interest to assure invoice signed accurately by customer and systems of times of delivery and other administrative and accounting functions are followed.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers.
  • Review orders prior to delivery, load, and unload trucks.
  • Demonstrate energy and take pride in delivering quality food to customers.
  • When not on the road, keep busy handling a variety of duties.
  • Set up the next shift for success.
  • Ensure overall unit safety and sanitation goals and policies.
  • Maintain grade A or better by beating health and sanitation inspection standards.
  • Uphold company standards and policies.
  • Ensure safe working conditions and comply with all laws.
