A brand manager is in charge of creating and maintaining an organization’s brand image. Brand managers work directly with the marketing department to provide a cohesive advertising and promotional direction. Primary duties include developing marketing campaigns, producing print and online content, and overseeing social media strategies. This position is vital to the organization’s public reputation. All branding and marketing measures are designed to increase consumer trust.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a brand manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Brand Manager, you need expertise in marketing strategy, brand positioning, and market analysis, typically supported by a degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms, CRM systems, and digital advertising tools is essential. Strong communication, leadership, and creative problem-solving skills help you effectively manage cross-functional teams and drive brand growth. These skills are vital for building strong brand identities, ensuring market competitiveness, and achieving business objectives.

How does a brand manager typically collaborate with other departments to execute brand strategies?

Brand Managers work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, product development, and design to ensure brand consistency and effective execution of campaigns. They often lead meetings to align on messaging, coordinate timelines, and share feedback. Description

Iconic American Brands | Strong Traffic | Growth Opportunity

At Swickard Automotive Group, we're a hospitality company that happens to sell cars. We believe the guest experience matters just as much as the vehicle itself.

At Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac of Anchorage, we represent some of the most recognized and trusted brands in the country.

  • Chevrolet - built for everyday drivers and hardworking families.
  • GMC - professional grade strength.
  • Cadillac - bold luxury and performance.
  • Buick - refined comfort and value.

In Alaska, these brands matter. Trucks matter. Reliability matters. Reputation matters. We're looking for a Brand Consultant who can represent that standard with professionalism and energy.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Brand Specialist is responsible for guiding guests through the vehicle purchase process with clarity, confidence, and hospitality.

This is not a pressure-based sales role. It's a consultative, relationship-driven position where preparation, follow-up, and integrity win long term. You'll work with a strong leadership team, structured processes, and steady traffic in a market that values trust.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and assist guests in selecting vehicles that fit their needs and lifestyle
  • Present features, benefits, and financing options clearly and professionally
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline and consistent follow-up
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales and gross objectives
  • Deliver a seamless handoff to F&I and service teams
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac product lines

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Consistent monthly unit production
  • 90%+ CRM follow-up compliance
  • Strong CSI and guest satisfaction scores
  • Professional appearance and on-time performance

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Prior automotive sales experience preferred but not required
  • Hospitality, retail, or customer-facing experience highly valued
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
  • Competitive but coachable
  • Strong communicator and listener
  • Organized and disciplined with follow-up
  • Comfortable working weekends
  • Motivated by performance-based compensation

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive base + commission structure
  • Performance bonuses
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Ongoing training and career development
  • Advancement opportunities within a 40+ rooftop organization

WHY THIS IS A STRONG MOVE

This is Anchorage. Truck country. Loyal customers. High brand recognition. If you want:

  • Steady opportunity
  • Strong brand backing
  • Leadership support
  • A clear path to Sales Manager or beyond

This is where it starts.
