Job description

Description

Anchorage, AK | Mercedes-Benz Sprinter | Fleet Sales | Commercial Van | B2B | Account Manager | Veterans encouraged to apply | $80,000 - $150,000 OTE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

Swickard is the highest-volume Mercedes-Benz Sprinter dealer group in the country -- responsible for 15% of Mercedes-Benz's total national Sprinter volume and ranked #4 in DPR nationally. Mercedes-Benz of Alaska serves a market with unique commercial vehicle demand -- contractors, logistics operators, trade service companies, and fleet buyers who depend on reliable, capable vans to run their businesses. The Commercial Account Manager is the person who connects that demand to the right solution.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Sell new and pre-owned Sprinter vans to commercial fleet clients -- consistently meeting and exceeding volume and gross profit targets

Build and manage a portfolio of long-term commercial client accounts -- serving as the primary point of contact from first inquiry through delivery and beyond

Actively prospect new business through outreach calls, referrals, online leads, and targeted networking within Alaska's commercial vehicle market

Educate clients on the full Sprinter lineup -- payload configurations, upfit options, and the commercial advantages that make this the dominant van in the market

Manage all client activity in the CRM with accurate pipeline records, follow-up commitments, and account status

Collaborate with service, parts, and finance to deliver a seamless client experience across every touchpoint

Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share across Alaska's commercial and fleet buyer base

Stay current on Sprinter product updates, competitor offerings, fleet buyer trends, and commercial vehicle market conditions

Conduct all business with professionalism, integrity, and a hospitality-first approach -- every client interaction reflects Swickard and the Mercedes-Benz brand

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

1-2+ years of sales experience -- commercial vehicle, fleet, B2B, or automotive sales experience strongly preferred

Fleet or commercial account management experience a significant plus -- you understand how business buyers think and what they need

Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) -- kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity

Tenacious prospector and relationship builder -- you grow accounts through consistency, follow-through, and genuine investment in the client's success

Strong CRM discipline -- disciplined pipeline management is non-negotiable at this volume and in this market

Excellent communicator, negotiator, and organizer -- comfortable managing a large account portfolio without losing detail

Alaska market knowledge a plus -- familiarity with the commercial industries that drive demand here is a real advantage

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

WHAT WE OFFER

OTE of $80,000 - $150,000 annually

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

401(k) plan

Paid time off and paid holidays

Paid Mercedes-Benz Sprinter product and fleet sales training

Career growth -- strong account managers at Swickard grow into fleet director and multi-store commercial leadership roles

Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

WHY MERCEDES-BENZ OF ALASKA

Swickard is the #1 Sprinter dealer group in the country by volume -- the infrastructure, the brand relationships, and the product knowledge behind this role are already proven at scale

Alaska's commercial landscape is unique -- contractors, logistics operators, trade service companies, and fleet buyers have real, ongoing van needs and limited local competition for a relationship-driven account manager

The Sprinter is the dominant commercial van platform in the market -- selling it is easier when your clients already know what they want

Anchorage is a close-knit professional community where your reputation as a reliable, knowledgeable account manager compounds quickly

Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- apply to every client interaction, every follow-up, and every deal

Alaska's commercial vehicle market is underleveraged -- and a motivated account manager backed by the country's leading Sprinter dealer group has a genuine opportunity to own it. The clients are here, the product is proven, and Swickard has the infrastructure and training to set you up for success from day one.

If you're relationship-driven, tenacious, and ready to build a commercial book of business in a market that rewards consistency and follow-through -- we'd like to meet you.
