Job Summary
The Manager, Brand & Menu Strategy will bring innovating ideas and recommendations for Papa John's category development. The candidate will help develop and execute current strategy will contributing to the long-term strategy. This position will also own revenue targets for USA products. This position requires a good knowledge of the US market dynamics and consumer demands and trends. This role is responsible for innovating, managing, and executing Papa John's category marketing strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
  • Synthesize insights and data to deliver fresh, new thinking and recommendations on category development; develop category analyses and insights that fuel innovative ideas; develop, gain alignment to, and lead a guest- and insight-driven innovation pipeline to deliver strategic objectives
  • Create differentiated product concepts and positioning; collaborate with Culinary, Consumer Insights, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and Suppliers to turn new products into reality
  • Manage market tests and contribute to work with agencies to bring the product to life in communication
  • Build compelling Business Cases and contribute to other business activities: assist with sell-in to leadership and owner/operator partners
  • Manages the coordination of brand product development and testing project timeline and calendar including quantitative concept screeners & consumer taste tests, qualitative focus groups, and operations / market tests.
  • Gathers and analyzes customer experience data, market research, market penetration, and the results of marketing programs to provide recommendations on adjusting market strategy/tactics, to increase sales/transactions, to achieve marketing goals, and to maintain awareness of changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Analyze the ongoing financial performance of the current menu and recommend opportunities to optimize and rationalize
  • Develop, gain alignment to, and lead a guest and insight driven innovation pipeline to deliver strategic objectives

Education, Experience & Certifications
  • 3 - 6 years minimum marketing experience; food marketing or innovation experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Experience in Restaurant or Retail Operations preferred, passion for company brand
  • Understanding of marketing/brand/product development management principle
