Nemours is seeking a Sr. Manager Brand Strategy in Wilmington, DE

The Senior Manager, Brand Strategy is responsible for shaping, stewarding, and advancing the Nemours Children's Health brand by developing integrated brand and content strategies that support organizational priorities, strengthen market differentiation, and build trust with key audiences. This role serves as the enterprise leader for brand positioning, messaging architecture, and narrative development, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand experience across all channels, campaigns, and stakeholder touchpoints.

Working closely with Marketing & Communications leadership, creative teams, and business partners, the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy translates strategic objectives into audience-centered storytelling and content frameworks that drive awareness, engagement, reputation, and growth. The position provides leadership to brand and content team members while establishing measurement frameworks that demonstrate the impact of brand and content investments on organizational goals.

Essential Functions
  • Lead enterprise brand strategy to strengthen Nemours' market position, reputation, and differentiation while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Serve as the steward of the Nemours brand, ensuring consistent brand messaging, positioning, and experience across all channels and stakeholder touchpoints.

  • Develop and execute enterprise content strategies that support business objectives, audience engagement, and mission-driven communications.

  • Create and maintain messaging frameworks and storytelling platforms that effectively communicate Nemours' expertise, impact, and value proposition.

  • Partner with marketing, communications, digital, clinical, and executive leaders to develop integrated campaigns and audience-centered engagement strategies.

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and audience insights activities to inform brand, content, and growth strategies.

  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to measure brand health, content effectiveness, stakeholder engagement, and return on investment.

  • Provide leadership and direction to brand and content team members, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high-quality execution across projects.

  • Manage strategic priorities, resources, budgets, and external partnerships to maximize the impact of brand and content investments and achieve organizational goals.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in brand strategy, content strategy, marketing, communications, or related disciplines, including responsibility for enterprise-level brand and reputation management

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience leading high-performing teams, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic marketing or communications programs.

  • Required Work Experience
    • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated brand strategies that drive awareness, engagement, reputation, and organizational growth.

    • Proven experience creating messaging architectures, narrative frameworks, and content strategies that support organizational priorities and audience engagement.

    • Experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing enterprise-wide decisions through strategic communications, brand positioning, and stakeholder engagement.

    • Experience leveraging market research, consumer insights, and analytics to inform strategy and measure brand and content performance.

    • Experience developing consumer engagement strategies targeting Millennial and Gen Z audiences.

    • Experience managing complex budgets, external agencies, vendors, and multi-channel marketing or content initiatives.

    • Prior experience in a senior marketing, branding, or communications leadership role within a nationally recognized healthcare system, academic medical center, pediatric health organization, or other highly reputable consumer-focused brand.

    • Management Consulting, Client Side, or Agency experience supporting large-scale national brands or healthcare clients is highly desirable.
