Position Description
Job Title: Field Service Support
Reports To: Branch Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
We are seeking Field Service Support that will play a critical role in supporting branch operations by ensuring timely delivery, setup, maintenance, and retrieval of HVAC rental equipment. This position requires a hands-on, customer-focused individual with mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prioritize and execute delivery and pickup schedules; adapt to changing job site needs.
Safely operate company vehicles up to 26,000 lbs to transport HVAC rental equipment
Install and set up portable cooling equipment at commercial job sites.
Inspect, clean, and perform basic repairs on rental equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Maintain accurate equipment inventory and track units using inventory management software.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the branch and on job sites.
Communicate effectively with the Branch Manager regarding job requirements and customer needs.
Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, contractors, and vendors.
Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for emergency service support.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50lbs. and work in varying environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, noisy).
Must be able to pass a medical DOT exam.
Basic mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and handheld/mobile devices.
Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment preferred.
Strong communication, customer service, math, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively in a team setting.
