REQUIREMENTS

Top Performers with Present or Previous GILA Branch Management experience or Lengthy GILA Assistant Management or Customer Service Experience required. High school diploma or equivalent required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Branch Manager is accountable for ensuring the day-to-day activities of the branch are effectively and consistently carried out per company policy each day in a manner that results in all required objectives consistently being achieved. The manager maintains communication between the staff and upper management. Provides support, training, and guidance to the staff.

  1. The Branch Manager is responsible to ensure that minimum required monthly and annual branch profit standards, expectations and objectives are consistently achieved each month and year.
  2. The Branch Manager is responsible to ensure that minimum required operational standards are achieved by the 10th, 20th, and month end consistently achieved each month and year.
  3. The Branch Manager is responsible to ensure that minimum required tax preparation objectives are consistently achieved each tax season.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Manager position oversees 1 to 4 employees within their location.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The manager must make sure that all daily duties of the branch and staff are completed every day. Efficiency is maintained by training employees continuously on company policy and procedures. Ensures all Federal, State, and Local laws are in compliance and that best ethical practices are followed. The manager provides leadership necessary to motivate employees and creates and maintains a high degree of branch production by meeting and exceeding company standards involving loans, collections, and expense control. The Manager must maintain consistent growth in accounts and receivables through retention of customers and effective advertisement. As needed, special reports may have to be prepared. By controlling the assets, proper credit extension, collection routine, thorough follow-up, and handling of past-due customers, the manager will create and maintain a successful and profitable branch.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure that all personnel are at work on time and manage those employees time throughout the day, by effectively coaching your staff.
  2. Ensure that all reports and records are prepared by the branch and assure that the required reports reach the home office and district supervisor complete, accurate, and ON TIME. Acknowledge receipt of all correspondence from the home office requiring an answer the day that it is received.
  3. Trains all employees on how to properly perform all functions of a loan office, to include: take and process an application, how to properly work the counter and take payments, how to properly enforce the contract with customers, how to properly make collection calls, and how to properly close a loan. The manager should do these very important tasks better than anyone else in the office.
  4. Approve and close all New, FB, and Dual loans.
  5. Approve and close all increases on loans of established accounts.
  6. Handle, approve, and close all delinquent loans (30 days or more past due).
  7. The manager, along with the assistant manager(s) and CSR, will make sure that all delinquent work is completed each day by 2:00 pm and that all of the customers' records are filed in the proper fireproof cabinets at closing time.
  8. Make certain that the office is kept neat and orderly at all times.
  9. Recommends and handles all legal procedures taken against customer.
  10. Distributes Life, Accident and Health, Auto, and Fire Insurance claims to customers. Also, receives all claims from customers and files weekly with the insurance carrier. Maintains proper insurance claims records and reports on insurance claims register located in branch stat book.
  11. Directs all calls from attorneys, newspapers, reporters, etc. to the home office.
  12. Verifies cash monthly by balancing cash drawers and maintaining cash count records.
  13. Exercises some ownership in judgment when making decisions affecting the branch and its personnel, control of assets, and credit decisions.
  14. Approves all supply requisitions.
  15. Properly handle all customer inquiries and disputes.
  16. Protects all customer information making certain all customer information is properly accounted for at all times and is stored securely each day before closing the office.
  17. It is the branch personnel's responsibility to consistently achieve company production standards.
