Job description

Elysian Energy is seeking a Residential Energy Project Specialist to analyze data from Home Performance with Energy Star audits and create proposals for energy efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of Energy Audit experience and is looking to transition from field work to data analysis, training, and customer solution development.

Key Responsibilitties

  • Perform data modeling for energy audits using industry-standard software
  • Create audit reports, HVAC and electrical load calculations
  • Develop practical scopes of work within program parameters and for larger scale projects
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to homeowners clearly and effectively
  • Research emerging technologies for residential energy efficiency and electrification/decarbonization projects
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal contracting staff on multi-phased projects
  • Provide training and support to auditors as needed
  • Perform related administrative tasks using computers and mobile technology

Requirements

  • Building Performance Institute Building Analyst Certification (BPI BA) or BPI HEP Energy Auditor Certification
  • 3+ years of energy auditing experience
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Reliable access to an insured vehicle
  • Ability to pass background and reference checks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or technical degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with residential construction, skilled trades, and/or building science
  • Experience with Beacon, Wrightsoft, or other modeling software
  • Experience working in Salesforce
  • BPI QCI Certification
