Job description

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) serves as a senior executive responsible for the oversight, coordination, and strategic management of the organizationโ€™s administrative and operational infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CAO ensures that all operational support functions of the organizationโ€”including facilities, security, transportation, land management, agriculture, environmental compliance, safety, risk management, and property developmentโ€”operate effectively in support of the mission of Cal Farleyโ€™s Boys Ranch.

Executive Leadership and Operational Oversight

  • Serve as a member of the organizationโ€™s senior executive leadership team and advise the CEO on operational strategy, infrastructure planning, and resource management.
  • Provide executive oversight for all administrative and operational support services across the organization.
  • Ensure that operational functions effectively support the mission, programs, and long-term strategic objectives of Boys Ranch.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems that support efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate long-term planning for facilities, infrastructure, and operational capacity to support program growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited university in business administration, facilities management, organizational leadership, public administration, or a related field required.
  • Masterโ€™s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of executive or senior leadership experience in operations, administration, facilities management, or organizational infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple operational disciplines across large or complex organizations.
  • Experience in property management, land stewardship, infrastructure development, or capital projects preferred.
  • Experience leading large teams and managing multi-department operational systems.
