Job description

We are currently hiring a dependable Local Truck Driver to join our office furniture installation and logistics team. This is a full-time position delivering office furniture and related products to commercial job sites throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and occasionally Maryland.


Our drivers are an important part of our installation crews. This is not a drop-and-go driving position. Drivers are expected to assist with loading and unloading the truck and help the installation crew on job sites when needed.


Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company trucks to and from commercial job sites
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload office furniture and related products
  • Perform and document daily pre-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck
  • Assist installation crews with moving, staging, and installing furniture as needed
  • Protect products from damage during loading, transportation and unloading
  • Follow company and job-site safety procedures
  • Take trash and packaging materials to disposal locations when required
  • Assist in the warehouse with receiving, organizing, and moving product when needed
  • Travel throughout PA, NJ, DE, and occasionally MD depending on job location


Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record
  • Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy furniture
  • Comfortable using hand trucks, dollies, and other material-handling equipment
  • Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work early mornings and varying start/end times depending on the job
  • Must be comfortable performing physical work in addition to driving
  • Ability to work well as part of a crew
