Job description

Mechanic Journeyman

Job Code Reference:

Org Structure One Up: Maintenance Supervisor

Direct Reports: N/A

Role description:

The Mechanic Journeyman is responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process equipment and general facility equipment.

Compensation and Schedule:

The starting pay rate for this role is $41.47 per hour. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain plant equipment including material handling equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, and production equipment

· Use plasma cutter, acetylene, and torch to perform maintenance responsibilities on equipment

· Comply with all company maintenance programs and practices

· Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment

· Complete preventive maintenance requirements

· Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems

Minimum skills / qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic card

· Ability to process, modify, and repair plant systems such as electrical, gas, air, and water systems

· Must be able to stand for 8 hours

· Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds

Preferred skills / qualifications:

· Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) experience

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this role is $41.47 per hour.  Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
