Overview

Description

If the answer is yes, then you know the Chesterman Company! We are an independent Coca-Cola Bottler with our corporate office located in Sioux City, Iowa. We have been making quality beverages for the Midwest since 1872 and supplying them from 14 distribution centers across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Position Summary: To be able to build loads in an orderly, safe, and time-efficient manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Move finished product off the line.
  • Rotate product in warehouse when bringing new product.
  • Bring empty materials to the line.
  • Move caps, glue, and empty bottles to the line.
  • Load box kipper with preforms
  • Operate palletizer and blow molder as well as startup and shut down properly.
  • Preform blown bottle QC testing as needed
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High-School Diploma/GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Previous Forklift experience is preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Communication Skills
  • Dexterity Skills
  • Problem Solving
  • Must be able to learn and operate all machinery on the can/bottle line.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers and to operate equipment
  • Must be certified by Chesterman Company Forklift Training

Work Environment: Ear protection is required in production areas. Eye protection required while on forklift. Must wear hair/beard net in designated areas. May work extended hours or days to complete production.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant sitting, hearing, seeing, and depth perception
  • Occasional walking and reaching outward
  • Ability to push/pull <75 lbs
  • Ability to lift/carry <75 lbs

Job Status: Full Time

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-2am or shift completion

Pay: $21.00 per hour
