Job description

We are Doe Run - 160 years strong.
$23.70/hour
5% targeted monthly bonus.

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Water & Sweeper Truck Operator to perform grounds housekeeping operations in order to maintain a safe, clean environment that meets environmental standards. This day shift position is at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • One year of experience operating a water truck, sweeper truck or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of plant layout and traffic routes.
  • Knowledge of fueling procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate a truck wash, water truck, and sweeper truck to spread water and sweep grounds.
  • Perform pre-shift inspection of truck.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment, including tightening, lubricating, and cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure tire wash is operating properly.
  • Fill in as necessary for Yard Equipment Operator; safely operate yard equipment and assist with cleanup.
  • Assist in other facility operations when air temperature is below freezing or raining.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment Physical and Lifting:
  • Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, a respirator, hearing protection and eyewear. Frequently exposed to vibration and moderate noise level. Occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme heat.
  • Regularly requires sitting, driving, and repetitive movement. Frequently requires grasping and reaching with hands/arms. Occasionally requires feeling attributes of objects. Requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, 20 inches or less, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, and precise hand-eye coordination.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 15 pounds. Frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
