Join a Team Creating Lasting Social Impact

If you are seeking a traditional bookkeeping position where you process transactions all day, this probably isn't the right opportunity.

If, however, you enjoy bookkeeping and being a trusted member of a team and helping company leaders build organizations, solve problems, improve operations, and make meaningful work happen, we'd love to meet you.

Good Returns Group is a small group of organizations and businesses dedicated to creating lasting social impact. Our work includes:

  • Affordable housing initiatives
  • Employment and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Building social enterprises
  • Facilitating impact investing
  • Helping non-profits become sustainable

Because we run multiple organizations simultaneously, no two days look exactly alike. We work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where people wear multiple hats, are self-sufficient, learn continuously, and can operate independently.

We value people who are organized, resourceful, adaptable, and willing to take ownership, all while following procedures and collaborating.

About the Position

The Financial Office Administrator is a key member of our administrative team.

Although bookkeeping is an important part of this role, it is not a traditional bookkeeping position.

Instead, you'll combine record keeping, financial administration, office administration, executive support, project coordination, and operational support to help multiple organizations run efficiently. You'll work closely with leadership and become a trusted partner who helps move important initiatives forward.

  • Process invoices, payments, reimbursements, and receipts.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare reports and schedules for management.
  • Coordinate with accountants, tax professionals, lenders, and auditors.
  • Monitor financial workflows and identify discrepancies or missing information.

Administrative Operations

  • Monitor shared email accounts and respond to inquiries.
  • Track projects and operational activities using ClickUp.
  • Maintain business records and organizational documentation.

  • Organize priorities, follow-up items, and deadlines.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple organizations and projects.
  • Help ensure commitments are completed on time.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support that enables leadership to maximize their effectiveness.

Office Support

  • Help prepare meeting spaces.
  • Maintain office supplies and materials.
  • Welcome visitors, students, interns, and partners.
  • Support day-to-day office operations.
  • Contribute to a professional, organized workplace.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bookkeeping and basic accounting knowledge.
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Beneficial, But Not Required Qualifications

  • Experience with ClickUp and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting multiple companies or organizations.
  • Experience with nonprofit, LLC, real estate, or small-business bookkeeping.
  • Experience preparing reports and analyzing financial or operational information.

-------------------------------------

The Type of People Who Thrive Here

  • Take ownership and consistently follow through.
  • Enjoy helping others succeed.
  • Learn new systems quickly.
  • Adapt easily as priorities change.
  • Are comfortable balancing routine work with new challenges.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Look for ways to improve systems and processes.
  • Willingly jump in wherever they're needed.

We aren't looking for someone who simply completes assigned tasks. We're looking for someone who wants to become a trusted member of the team who helps the entire organization perform at a higher level.

Why Join Our Team

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced leaders while supporting organizations that are making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
