VALVE ASSEMBLY & INVENTORY SUPPORT
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for disassembly, inspection, re-assembly, and testing of new and repaired control valve products as well as pulling the appropriate parts needed to complete an order. Repaired products will be function-tested, properly documented, and prepped for blasting and painting. Internal parts for repair will be prepped quickly for critical dimension checks and necessary machining. All equipment, including instrumentation, will be tested through a series of seat, hydrostatic, and diagnostics programs in adherence to strict quality guidelines. This job requires a high level of accuracy, a sense of urgency, and a desire to help the production team meet on-time customer delivery requirements.
PRINCIPLE JOB DUTIES
- Perform all manufacturing, tear down and assembly of valves & associated products
- Understand and operate tools and equipment properly and safely
- Meet production requirements
- Pull and kit inventory raw materials and finished goods as needed for product assembly
- Communicate status and any inventory issues with planning
- Bag and tag parts orders for shipping
- Understand and apply safety & quality requirements
- Regular attendance is essential
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 3-5 years experience in manufacturing of mechanical goods; or combination of Associates degree/certificate in instrumentation and 3 years experience with inventory processes a plus
- High school diploma/GED
- Read/understand basic blueprints and schematics
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Must be able to work overtime hours as required, especially during plant outages & turnarounds
- Use effective communication skills, possess positive attitude & work in a team environment
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and 100+ pounds occasionally
