Bookkeeper – Adult Day Center

Our Adult Day Center is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our organization. Responsibilities
As our Bookkeeper, you will:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions.
- Process invoices, client billing, vendor payments, and collections in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Prepare financial information and reports required for grant reporting.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and expense tracking.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal financial regulations.
- Support CACFP Food Program billing and Medicaid or third-party billing processes, when applicable.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
- Work collaboratively with leadership and program staff to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare, human services, or nonprofit organization.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, third-party billing, grant reporting, or government-funded programs.
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance.
- A compassionate, service-oriented mindset with an appreciation for the mission of adult day services.
