Job description

Description:

For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of God's Word. Today we're one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world. Though our business has grown, our mission remains the same: to open God's Word to as many as possible in language they can relate to and understand.

At Tyndale, our production team is made up of people who love the details — the feel of a cover, the weight of the pages, even the smell of a freshly printed book. They're stewards as much as they are buyers, working to make sure every dollar invested in a title is well spent and every book represents Tyndale well on the shelf. It's a collaborative, detail-driven group that takes real pride in doing this work with excellence.

As a Production Assistant, you'll play a key role in keeping Tyndale's books on schedule and on budget. You'll coordinate production timelines across departments, track the details that keep projects accurate, and serve as a clear communicator with everyone involved in bringing a book to life. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives on details, adapts easily when priorities shift, and wants a front-row seat to how a book actually gets made.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate production schedules across multiple departments to keep each title on track for its release.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between the production team and partners throughout the company, keeping projects aligned.
  • Track and manage product details with accuracy, helping ensure every book reflects Tyndale's standard of quality.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities throughout the day and week, staying focused while managing multiple details under pressure.
  • Support responsible stewardship of Tyndale's production budget by helping ensure resources are well spent on every project.

Skills and Qualifications Needed

  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated approach to handling details and working under pressure.
  • Knowledge of printing, binding, or publishing schedules preferred.
  • Comfort with computers and basic math/number-based tasks.
  • A college degree or equivalent work experience; recent graduates are welcome to apply!
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God's Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith

We want to hear more about you and why you are interested in Tyndale and this role, so we highly recommend including a cover letter.
