Job Summary


The Product Manager 1 will be responsible for managing select commodities to ensure a profitable return to our grower(s). This role involves monitoring inventory levels to support the company’s operational needs. In addition to demand planning select commodity product flow from field through the sales cycle in the most effective and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities


  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Commodity Manager [harvest team] to ensure timely execution from harvest to shipping.
  • Prepare and present reports on harvest and sales activities with performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with various departments [e.g. Food Safety, Cooler, etc.] to understand their business needs and provide support.
  • Maintain accurate records of harvest and customer performance, and other relevant data for process improvement.
  • Stay updated on market supply trends and industry best practices to inform optimal sales strategies.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses.
  • Facilitate inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
  • Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating market volume variances.
  • Adjust Inventory Item levels in MS AX to support customer demand daily within Harvesting capability.
  • Provide Commodity & Item level demand & inventory supply to sales team both short and long term.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Characteristic of being a self-starter, independent and inquisitive.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of sales, operations & supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Access approved data sources to extract and analyze business trends.
