Job description

Job Summary:

Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced individual to perform as a Relief in our Warehouse department on the day shift. The Warehouse Relief is responsible for coordinating and assisting with Material Handling duties while operating Powered Industrial Trucks along with the Shipping/Receiving personnel on shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Warehouse Manager, Supervisor and Team Lead with daily tasks
  • Fill in for Team Lead and associates during absence, breaks (PTO, Leave, etc)
  • Load/Unload trucks that are staged at the warehouse docks
  • Safe operation of Powered Industrial Trucks in cold environment (40 degree F)
  • Ongoing PIT training and certification
  • Become trained and knowledgeable on all GMP and HACCP guidelines
  • Learn Squid Ink, Keyence, ROSS and other associated systems
  • Set up orders, pile up 50lb cheese blocks and Restack 30lb of finished Loaf product
  • Use EMS inventory management system
  • Learn to operate AGV 
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (stand up, sit down)
  • Excellent Math and Reading skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently on assigned duties
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Adaptable to Cold and Warm weather conditions
  • Adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
  • Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
  • Flexible work schedule availability
  • Ability to spend long periods of time standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

Schedule:

  • Day Shift 5:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday, occasional Saturdays
