MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Boiler / Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a facility in El Paso, TX. This position will have a strong focus on boiler operation and maintenance, while also assisting with plumbing, mechanical systems, HVAC, and general facility maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with hands-on experience maintaining boilers and commercial facility equipment. Boiler or chiller certifications are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Perform day-to-day operation, inspection, and routine maintenance of two fire-tube boilers
- Troubleshoot and repair boiler and mechanical system issues
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure boilers and associated equipment operate safely and efficiently
- Monitor the overall facility to ensure it remains safe, secure, and properly maintained
- Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and related building systems
- Perform general and preventive facility maintenance
- Assist with minor plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs as needed
- Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur
- Replace lighting bulbs, ballasts, and other basic electrical components as needed
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when required
- Move equipment, furniture, machinery, and other materials as requested
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work
- High school diploma or GED required
