Job description

We are seeking an experienced Boiler Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of fire tube boilers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with industrial boilers, and the ability to work across various shifts. The Boiler Mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance, repair, and service of 400hp to 1200hp fire tube boilers.
  • Conduct inspections of boiler systems to identify potential issues, wear, or malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system problems on boilers.
  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble components such as burners, tubes, and pumps.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of boiler systems.
  • Monitor boiler operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain safe and efficient performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards while working on boiler systems.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics and apprentices.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency breakdowns and provide corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to safety protocols and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of 400hp to 1200hp fire tube boilers and associated systems.
