Job description

Plains Plumbing Co., LLC is seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC / Boiler Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance a career in the HVAC and boiler industry while working alongside experienced technicians. You will gain hands-on training installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems and boiler equipment.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. No extensive experience is required—we're willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed HVAC and boiler technicians with installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC, hydronic, steam, and boiler systems.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
  • Load and unload materials and keep work vehicles and job sites organized.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
  • Attend training and continue developing technical skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn a skilled trade.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Previous construction, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical experience.
  • EPA Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Trade school education or enrollment.
