Systems Engineering Analyst

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineering Analyst for Flight Simulation Labs, located in Berkeley, MO.

The Flight Simulation Labs organization has expertise supporting marketing, design, development, integration, test and training objectives for Boeing military aircraft. As a Systems Engineering Analyst, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, developing, and compiling technical data to optimize system performance throughout the program lifecycle. You will apply systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to develop and refine system architectures, functional requirements, and product designs for programs such as T-7, F-15, F-18, and MQ-25.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research and analysis to compile technical data for products and systems in operational environments

  • Applies systems engineering methodologies to design and develop systems and new product solutions

  • Derives and develops complex architectures, functional requirements, and product designs, ensuring alignment with project objectives

  • Assists in integrating technical, cost, value, risk, and specialty engineering considerations into product definitions

  • Collaborates with project teams, management, sales, marketing staff, customers, and suppliers to achieve organizational goals

  • Engages in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability

  • Participates in design reviews and provides feedback to ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices

  • Provide engineering support to stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of these and existing products

  • Significant internal and external customer interaction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Top-Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

This position requires ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related technical field

  • 5+ years of experience working in a lab environment

  • Proficiency in multiple 3D visualization programs (e.g., Cesium, Unreal Engine, and ArcGIS) for database development

  • Experience leading system assessments to identify weaknesses

  • Experience developing and analyzing requirements

  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Agile Methodologies and tools

  • Experience researching and analyzing technical data

  • Understanding high-fidelity performance-driven 3D models of terrain and defense/commercial assets

  • Experience optimizing texturing process, simulation-ready 3D models, terrain, and visual effects (e.g., smoke, fire, and damage states) to deliver high-fidelity combat fight environments
