Airplane Delivery Documents Inspector

The Boeing Company is seeking an Airplane Delivery Documents Inspector to join our Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) team in Seattle, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the production and modification of airplanes and associated equipment established per contractual agreement

  • Type and distribute flight reports, prepare and collect documents for delivery package and Airworthiness letter for regulatory requirements

  • Maintain aircraft and engine historical records

  • Perform all required inspection including physical inspection on aircraft serial numbers, including vendor names, part numbers and MOD levels for entry into the delivery documents

  • Position will require working in confined spaces and crawling through an opening 17.75" X 10.00"

  • Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, process and procedures

  • Review completed aircraft records to obtain accurate information through use of drawings, manuals and specifications

  • Perform inventories to assure that all items listed in inventory records are present and installed in proper location on the airplane or listed as an authorized shortage

  • Conduct pre-document record review as required and present document package to Contracts, Customers, and Regulatory Agencies at time of delivery

  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts assemblies or portions thereof, according to specification, process and procedures

  • This job requires access to live aircraft, and eligible candidate will be required to work in extreme weather conditions

  • Maintain and update multiple Aircraft Readiness Logs (ARLs)

  • Process flight logs

  • Process flight SQWKS

  • Process engine run times and oil usage

  • Process part number replacements in the appropriate databases

  • Maintain and manage records in a secured vault

  • Collaborate with shipside quality personnel

  • Be a self-starter

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to work in confined spaces

  • 3+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications

  • 1+ years of experience in data/file management (e.g. ability to organize, sort, label, scan, and otherwise manipulate paper and electronic inspection records, as required)

  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Quality Assurance

  • Experience utilizing the Airplane Readiness Log (ARL)
