As a Physical Therapist at Happy Body Therapy, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Consulting with patients to assess their physical conditions and symptoms, ensuring personalized therapy plans tailored to individual needs.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing comprehensive treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
• Instructing patients in therapeutic exercises, ensuring they understand how to perform these techniques properly for optimal results.
• Administering manual therapies such as massage or stimulation to promote healing and alleviate pain.
• Guiding patients in the proper use of rehabilitation equipment, like wheelchairs or walkers, to enhance their mobility and independence.
• Maintaining detailed patient records to track treatment progress, set recovery goals, and facilitate effective communication with other healthcare providers.
• Providing advice to patients and their families regarding in-home exercises and treatment options that align with their rehabilitation goals.

Our patients range from pediatric to geriatric individuals with various physical ailments requiring rehabilitation services. You will work closely with patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or seeking recovery from injuries. Our approach emphasizes individualized treatment plans that respect the distinct needs and preferences of each patient, ensuring a holistic healing experience.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license for the state of New Jersey.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to maintain records and documentation.

While the role requires a minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy, we value both seasoned professionals and new graduates seeking mentorship. Experience with specialized rehabilitation techniques or pediatric therapy is a plus but not mandatory.
