Cross Island Provisions, an Authorized Boar's Head Purveyor, is looking for an energetic, outgoing Selling Event Specialist to represent the Boar's Head brand through in-store sampling events at our retail partners. If you're passionate about food, enjoy engaging with customers, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct in-store sampling events featuring premium Boar's Head meats, cheeses, condiments, and specialty products.
  • Create a fun and inviting shopping experience that encourages customers to try and purchase Boar's Head products.
  • Educate customers on product quality, flavor profiles, serving ideas, and complementary products.
  • Increase sales through suggestive selling and product recommendations.
  • Set up and break down sampling displays while maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work area.
  • Operate a deli slicer safely (training provided if needed).
  • Build positive relationships with deli managers, associates, and customers.
  • Represent Cross Island Provisions and the Boar's Head brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Travel to retail locations throughout the assigned territory.
Qualifications
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for food and customer service.
  • Previous experience in retail, food service, hospitality, sales, or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple store locations.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Basic smartphone and computer skills.
  • Food handling experience is a plus but not required.
