As a Customer Service Representative with White County Health at the Georgia Department of Public Health - District 2, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Job Responsibilities Customer Service Representative 1: Under direct supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. May resolve complicated issues involving customer service and/or researches governing policies, procedures or laws to respond to clients or visitors. Additional Duties, but not limited to: Initial check in of patients for General Intake, CHC, TRV, and STD clinics. Gets current address, phone number, insurance card, ID and any necessary documents from patients when checking them in (updating client VHN record Scan records to appropriate file in VHN Schedules Appointment Check MDCD eligibility and GRITS immunizations records, backload as needed Prints GRITS record for Nurse to review Prints VIS Flyer form VHN and give to the patients Monitor the patient waiting area.

Direct clients to the appropriate clinics within the health department. If they need services outside of the health department the clerk will assist with information as best as possible. Receives, screens and directs telephone communications.

Checks voicemail and return calls periodically throughout the day. Interprets and translates health care information for limited English-proficient clients. Conveys appropriate translations to client/family regarding various health care programs, guidelines, services, support systems and problems.

With little or no deviation from verbatim Minimum Qualifications Customer Service Representative 1 High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required. Customer Service Representative 2 High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience communicating information in a customer service setting; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST120) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: The ability to read, speak and write Spanish Additional Information Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.
