Job description

Position Description Position Overview: Temporary recruitment coordinators work in a busy environment with a team to recruit and support election workers in providing our community with access to voting and creating a positive experience for voters exercising their right to vote. This job entails coordinating placements, communicating assignment details and task expectations, ensuring judges meet the task requirements, like attending training, hiring their own clerks, scheduling and picking up supplies, setting up the Vote Center and more. This position requires good customer service skills and ability to maintain bipartisanship.

Recruitment coordinators also support other election functions such as equipment handout and election night equipment return. Duties and Responsibilities: Customer service with heavy phone calls and emails. Supporting recruits with registering for training, finding clerks, getting information about positions and signing up for compensation.

Updating Excel spreadsheets, Election Management System, and other applications. Ability to multi-task in extremely busy environment. Reporting to dispatch locations during almost 3 week voting period to dispatch workers.

Requirements Must meet all eligibility requirements to register to vote in the State of Texas. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution

Must have previous Microsoft Word and Excel work experience. Must have experience working in an administrative office role. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities: Good verbal and written communication skills a must.

Customer Service and dispute resolution skills required. Typing of 40+ WPM required. Must be able to perform well without in-person supervision, within expected work hours and maintain good performance.

Must be knowledgeable in basic computer and phone functions. Able to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks within deadlines. NOTE: Qualifying education, experience, knowledge and skills must be documented on your job application.

Some weekends and evenings required. Extended hours may be required between October 19, 2026 - November 4, 2026. Salary: $17.00 Hourly Location: 15600 Morales Rd., Houston, TX 77032 Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards
