Job description

Blumental Arts seeks a dynamic team of Mission Specialists to support Blume Studios’ immersive experiences by providing exceptional guest service and ensuring visitors have a smooth, memorable, and safe interaction with VR exhibitions. As a key part of the Blume Studios team, Mission Specialists lead guests through the entire guest journey, from arrival and onboarding through the immersive experience, retail engagement, and departure. This includes assisting with VR onboarding, guest flow, merchandise interactions, and attending to guest needs throughout the visit.

This is a temporary, part‑time position tied to the duration of the exhibition and requires regular weekend availability.

Your impact:

  • Warmly welcome guests, provide wayfinding, and assist with ticket scanning or check-in as needed.
  • Deliver friendly and professional communication throughout the entire guest journey, ensuring a cohesive and engaging experience at every touchpoint.
  • Lead guests through onboarding or orientation procedures and explain rules or expectations clearly.
  • Assist latecomers and support guests with special needs or accessibility requirements.
  • Assist guests with proper use of VR equipment: helping with headsets, explaining basic controls, and ensuring correct fit and comfort.
  • Learn and follow all equipment and safety protocols for the exhibition.
  • Identify and report technical or software issues promptly to the VR Lead or VR Experiences Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment between guests.
  • Engage guests before and after the VR experience supporting smooth transaction between exhibition spaces, retail areas, and exits.
  • Support guest interaction with merchandise by answering question, highlighting featured items, facilitating point-of-sale transactions as needed.
  • Maintain retail areas by restocking inventory, organizing merchandise displays, and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment that reflects Blume Studios’ brand standards.
  • Support emergency procedures by following established safety and evacuation protocols.
  • Monitor guest areas, maintain a safe environment, and reinforce experience rules.

Skills You’ll Bring:

  • 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a guest-facing role
  • Strong customer service mindset; enjoys engaging with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Comfortable with learning VR technology and assisting beginners in using it.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in fast-paced environments.
  • Reliability, teamwork, and a positive, professional attitude
  • Previous experience in immersive/interactive guest environments is a plus
  • Previous experience with VR Technology is a plus
