Job description

Job Title: Enterprise Solutions Architect - Workforce Management Technologies
Location: Hybrid for Atlanta, GA
Long Term Contract
Job Summary:
  • Design and evaluate architecture for Workforce Management (WFM) capabilities including Forecasting, Labor Demand Planning, Task Management, and Time and Attendance systems.
    • Lead architectural evaluations for WFM vendor platforms in collaboration with IT, HR, and Operations stakeholders.
    • Investigate and discover existing processes and technical components related to the WFM system.
    • Design end-to-end data exchange and integration strategies between WFM systems and existing enterprise platforms.
    • Review incoming project demand to identify architectural implications.
    • Partner with business teams to review solution requirements & devise solution options.
    • Lead the development of project solution designs, subject to Architecture Board review.
    • Lead evaluation of solution and technology decision options using fact-based analysis.
    • Collaborate with business and IT teams, and facilitate design discussions to achieve consensus.
    • Produce and maintain detailed and easy to understand technical architecture artifacts.
    • Communicate complex technology designs clearly and succinctly in executive-level presentations.
    • Identify architectural risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate decisions are taken.
    • Ensure project estimates are informed by design approaches and delivery options.
    • Oversee delivery efforts; guide the team on technical issues to ensure project success.
    • Manage and proactively minimize technical debt.
    • Ensure designs are holistic and viable to enable predictable, on-time delivery.
    • Ensure resilience, stability, availability, and recoverability, as well as other non-functional requirements, are designed into the platform.

Enterprise Architecture (10%)
  • Define long-term architectural vision for enterprise-wide Workforce Management alignment with Client's goals.
    • Conduct architecture reviews and technology assessments to identify optimization opportunities.
    • Maintain target-state architecture and roadmap for Workforce Management ecosystems.
    • Guide integration of relevant industry trends and emerging technologies into architecture practices.
    Partner Collaboration (20%)
    • Participate and contribute to communities of practice within Client.
    • Ensure cross-architectural alignment of assigned tech areas with peer domains.
    • Engage with the Architecture Board to ensure sound decisions on architectural matters.
    • Contribute to the Enterprise Technology Catalog for assigned technology areas.
    • Coach and mentor development and operations teammates.
    • Serve as an advisor to business teams and IT management.
    • Liaise with peer technology teams and technology vendors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent experience, required.
    • 5+ years of enterprise and solution architecture experience, required.
    • 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions, required.
    • 3+ years' experience in working with cloud technologies (Azure preferred), required.
    • Experience with architecture roadmaps that align business and technical goals, required.
    • Familiarity with architectural frameworks and methods, required.
    • Strong experience with third-party SaaS integration and internal client applications, required.
    • Skilled in leading architecture designs and producing design artifacts, required.
    • Familiarity with integration tools and patterns (REST APIs, Service Bus, SOA), required.
    • Familiarity with Cloud & DevOps practices (Serverless, IaC, CI/CD), required.
    • Experience with technologies for Workforce Management or Labor Management in convenience, retail, or similar settings, preferred (i.e. Blue Yonder, Dayforce, Legion, UKG, Workday, Zebra).
    • Strong facilitation and consensus-building skills, required.
    • Prior experience using agile methodologies, required.
    • Experience managing indirect teams and vendors, required.
    • Excellent communication skills with technical and functional stakeholders, required.
