Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $16.63 - $24.90/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the SECURE Application using a handheld computer (Zebra TC75x) for each vehicle received at the Auction:

    • Vehicle Identification number (VIN)

    • Stock number

    • Dealer identification number

    • Make, model, year, mileage, color, etc.

    • Install GPS trackers in OBII Port or with Metal security cable.

    • Remove license plates and document them.

  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.

  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.

  • Flag "no key" cars.

  • Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone.

  • Report transport damage as needed.

  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.

  • In the event that extra help is needed by our EPII team we will require this role to cross train for check-in and provide assistance when needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e. assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.

  • May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred, OR less than 2 years of related work experience.

  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.

  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.

  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.

  • Vision abilities requiredinclude close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Preferred:

  • 1 - 3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Work Environment:

  • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

  • Moderate noise level.

Drug Testing

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
