We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Forklift Operator in our fulfillment center. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize grocery products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What you will do:

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport grocery products throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, and stacking products in designated storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of product movements within the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders by accurately picking and staging products for shipment, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation, including conducting pre-operational checks, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and reporting any safety hazards or incidents to management.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs to maintenance personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and address any issues or concerns related to forklift operations.

What you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass internal forklift operator certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating (stand-up) forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of company and OSHA safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees and below)
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
