Job description

The Comfort Group, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Fitter to work full time at our Nashville location. The Comfort Group is a Mechanical Contracting Company that has been in business for over 50 years.  We are headquartered in Nashville, TN and have an office in Huntsville, AL. Job Description

  • Read blue prints, specifications, submittals, and apply the information to correctly install piping systems.
  • Review drawings and make suggestions for portions of the job that can be prefabricated.
  • Have working knowledge of chilled water, condenser water, steam, condensate, natural gas, etc.
  • Have working knowledge of both carbon and stainless steel systems.
  • Able to layout and or mock up piping systems to fit in the field.
  • Experience with different welding processes to select the correct one for the application.
  • Work well with Comfort Group employees and other contractors on site in a professional manner.
  • Be proficient in communications with project managers, superintendents, and contractors to complete jobs on time and on budget.
  • 10 hour OSHA class or 30 hour OSHA is a plus but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years as a pipe fitter.
  • Self motivated and a creative problem solver and willing to ask questions for clarification.
  • Able to multi task.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computers/iPad, etc.
