The Comfort Group - Mechanical Contractor
Location: Huntsville, Alabama
Launch Your Career in the Plumbing Trade
The Comfort Group is seeking a motivated, dependable Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team in the Huntsville, Alabama area. If you're eager to learn a skilled trade, work alongside experienced professionals, and build a long-term career, we'd like to meet you.
As a Plumbing Apprentice, you'll assist licensed plumbers on commercial and industrial construction projects while receiving hands-on training in all aspects of the plumbing trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installing commercial plumbing systems, including water, waste, vent, and gas piping.
- Learn to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping and plumbing fixtures.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Work closely with experienced plumbers to develop trade skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation to jobsites in the Huntsville area.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, working in lifts, and performing physically demanding work.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Previous construction experience is helpful but not required.
