Job description

The In-Game Entertainment and Promotions Coordinator will be an integral part of Toronto Blue Jays Florida Operations and the Dunedin Blue Jays. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all in-game entertainment at TD Ballpark, while also leading the planning and delivery of themed promotional nights and fan giveaways. The coordinator will help ensure a fun, engaging, and world-class experience for fans at both Dunedin Blue Jays games and Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Off Season (September - January):
Prepare bid lists, gather samples and help design all Dunedin Blue Jays giveaway items working within budget.
Assist Jr Jays Kids Club. Plan Saturday activations.
Creation and maintenance of videoboard message request website.
Lead planning of all activations and experiences for the annual Welcome Back Blue Jays event.
Create new videoboard graphics for Dunedin Blue Jays and Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training.
Spring Training (February - March):
Set up PA Booth and oversee on gamedays and special events.
Prepare Dunedin Blue Jays scripting and in-game content.
Write and prep all Spring Training Scripts.
Schedule trainings and rehearsals in conjunction with the Toronto team and Florida leadership.
Work alongside the Toronto/Ticket Team and the General Manager to coordinate the execution of pre-game ceremonies and in-game live entertainment during games.
Produce all Spring Training games.
Assist Toronto Game Entertainment and Marketing as needed.
Assist Player Development complex videoboard systems as needed.
Ensure concessions menus are built and loaded.
Florida State League (April - September):
Work with all departments to promote and execute pre-game ceremonies and various marketing messages in-game throughout the season.
Plan and execute a team media day.
Set up PA Booth and oversee on gamedays and special events.
Create and edit graphic/video content for the videoboard.
Produce all Dunedin Blue Jays home games.
Assist with MiLB TV broadcast troubleshooting and communication.
Prepare batting practice, walkup music and stadium playlists.
Ensure concessions menus are built and loaded.
General Year-Round Tasks:
Create and maintain content on the Beltrees Board.
Create website graphics and make web edits as needed.
Order any supplies for PA Booth, Game Entertainment and promotional nights.
Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment failures as needed.
Plan new in-game promotions, activations and video concepts.
Test PA equipment year-round and ensure software is up to date.
Research new technology, league trends to enhance promotional nights and in-game experience.
Attend community events as needed.
Help pass out community collateral.
QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of Daktronics or similar videoboard equipment is an asset.
Working knowledge of Adobe Suite is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Office 365, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Highly motivated and adaptable with a positive attitude.
Proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
Excelled in communication skills, friendly, and approachable.
Ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position requires the ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as well as being able to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Be willing to learn, work hard, handle multiple projects at once, and maintain a good attitude.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40 lbs., stand for an entire length of shift, walk throughout the stadium (if needed), may be required to work in confined/narrow spaces, ability to work in variable temperatures
