  • Compensation: $15.00/hour
  • Availability: Week nights (Thursday & Friday), weekends, and holidays required
About the Role

As a Lifeguard at Blue Harbor Resort's waterpark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests enjoying our aquatic attractions. Lifeguards are responsible for actively supervising swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR when needed. Your vigilance and teamwork help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where guests can relax and enjoy their time with confidence.

What You'll Do
  • Monitor assigned waterpark and pool zones, scanning for potential hazards or unsafe behavior
  • Enforce safety rules and communicate clearly with guests about waterpark guidelines
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing water rescues and administering first aid/CPR/AED as needed
  • Conduct regular safety checks and help maintain cleanliness of pool areas and equipment
  • Participate in mandatory in-service training and stay up-to-date on all safety protocols, emergency action plans, and facility procedures
  • Provide friendly, courteous guest assistance and helpful information about waterpark amenities
  • Collaborate with fellow lifeguards and waterpark staff to maintain a safe and efficient operation
What We're Looking For
  • Strong swimming skills with the ability to remain vigilant and attentive for long periods
  • Excellent communication skills and a guest-service mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Prior lifeguard experience preferred but not required; training and certifications may be provided
  • Flexible schedule with availability nights (Thursday & Friday), weekends, and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years old
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and assisting guests when necessary
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and waterpark conditions
