JOB OVERVIEW:

The Supply Chain Analyst plays a key role on Blue Diamond Growers' Global Supply Team and is responsible for product availability planning (Supply Insights), raw material planning, supply chain analytics, and system development. The role partners across the organization to inform sales strategies using crop supply information, including projected crop volume and characteristics, value-added demand plans, and commodity sold positions.
This position provides strong working knowledge of the SAP IBP planning tool and supports system and process enhancements. The role provides analytical support and training across Global Supply Chain, partners with the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) team to align Supply Insights and S&OP assumptions and plans and participates on cross-functional data analytics teams across Blue Diamond Growers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and communicate product availability and unsold commodity information to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment across the organization on key product availability assumptions.
  • Align product availability planning to support the highest and best use of almond supply.
  • Evaluate product availability outputs and provide analysis and recommendations that inform business strategy.
  • Maintain substitution Bill of Material tables and ensure alignment with product specifications and SAP PLM.
  • Communicate the raw material plan to the execution planning team and support compliance and alignment with the execution plan.
  • Support the development of supply chain analytical tools and processes.
  • Coordinate projects to develop and implement new or improved supply chain systems and tools, including product availability reporting, raw material planning, and supply chain dashboards.
  • Support the Global Supply Chain team in the use and implementation of data analytics capabilities.
  • Maintain documentation for systems and processes.
  • Assist management with training and development related to supply chain analytics and planning tools.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supply chain analytical role or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with SAP S/4 and IBP or an equivalent ERP/MRP system.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments, facilitate team meetings, and prepare briefings or presentations for multiple levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, including managing large datasets, built-in functions, and PivotTables.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools, including management of associated datasets.
  • Strong time-management skills and demonstrated ability to meet firm deadlines.
  • A combination of education, certifications, and commensurate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Data Analytics certification, APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or a similar certification.
  • SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Integrated Business Planning certification.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing processes.
  • Experience providing project leadership, training, or analytical guidance to others.
  • Production planning experience in a food manufacturing environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Walking through warehouses and multiple buildings.
  • Occasional bending and lifting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office environment; hybrid model with three days in the office, based on business needs.
  • Time spent in distribution and production areas.
