Job description

 

Our Mission:

Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. is the most trusted name in the lifting world. It has the deep expertise, services, and support to solve both routine and complex lifting challenges. Job Purpose:

The Sewer will utilize the industrial sewing machine to manufacture synthetic slings and other materials. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and repair synthetic slings and assemblies; and
  • Coordinate the production of orders with the Production Manager;
  • Maintain a safe working environment, and ensure that fabricated items are manufactured to BLP's quality standards; and
  • Ensure that test samples of fabricated items are forwarded to the Production Manager as required.
  • Perform other functions as required.

Job Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in a production environment, specifically with industrial sewing equipment highly preferred. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
