Description & Requirements

Our Team

Bloomberg’s Workplace Productivity team builds internal solutions across Microsoft 365/Azure and Google Workspace for over 25,000 employees. We partner closely with the product team in discovering the real problem from the businesses, shaping the approach, and delivering production‑ready solutions.

The Role

As a member of the Workplace Productivity team, you’ll be part builder, part platform explorer, and part trusted advisor: you’ll help turn the “latest and greatest” capabilities from Microsoft and Google into secure, governed solutions that internal teams can rely on. Because these technologies evolve quickly, we focus on adopting new features responsibly – establishing, where appropriate, governance and lifecycle management to ensure long‑term reliability, security, and alignment with internal standards.

You’ll need to have

· 5+ years of experience in software development, specializing in building production services and automation solutions using C#, Python and PowerShell.

· A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

We would love to see

· Understanding of latest AI tooling such as M365 Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini and working knowledge on governance models

· Experience understanding and applying governance for Copilot Studio agents, including oversight of Model Context Protocol (MCP), security, and compliance controls

· Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, or equivalent credentials demonstrating advanced cloud and enterprise administration expertise

· Security Certifications - SANS or similar

· Google Workspace Administration experience/certifications

· Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services and how to utilize, manage, secure them at enterprise scale

· Strong proficiency in Azure Entra ID, including understanding its dependencies related to identity and access security, as well as features like Conditional Access, Defender for O365 etc.

· Demonstrated success in delivering data protection and compliance solutions for financial institutions by designing DLP policies and integrating Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace with third-party security systems

· Familiarity with security posture improvements and hardening concepts in cloud environments (e.g., least privilege, logging/monitoring/auditing).

· Experience designing and operating web and Windows services that integrate with other internal systems and platforms

· Demonstrated experience managing DevOps pipelines, leveraging GitHub for configuration-as-code, and enabling automated, scalable deployments

· Experience across all phases of the software development life cycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support
