Job description

OCS Technologies, an Accredited Labs company, is seeking a qualified In-Shop Calibration Technician to join our Cleveland laboratory team.  This position is responsible for performing calibration and verification of customer equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Key Responsibilities:

Calibration-

  • Perform calibration and verification of customer equipment in a laboratory environment. Primary disciplines will include force, torque, pressure, and dimensional inspection.
  • Follow documented calibration procedures, work instructions, and quality system requirements
  • Accurately record calibration data and results in the calibration management system
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and communicate findings per company procedures
  • Maintain calibration standards, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
  • Meet productivity and turnaround time requirements
  • Support internal and external audits as required

Qualifications-

  • Previous experience as a calibration technician or related technical role
  • Working knowledge of force, torque, pressure, and dimensional measurement preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, specifications, and drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications-

  • Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory
  • Familiarity with calibration management software (IndySoft preferred)
  • Multi-discipline calibration experience

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Laboratory-based work environment
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and handle calibration equipment as required
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on workload
