Job Title: Commercial Roofing Repair Technician
Reports To: Service Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Commercial Roofing Repair Technician is responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial roofing systems. This position requires a thorough understanding of various roofing systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve roof issues efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect commercial roofs to identify damage, leaks, and system failures across various roofing systems (TPO, PVC, EPDM, metal, modified bitumen, BUR, etc.).
  • Perform repairs on various roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal, and built-up roofs.
  • Generate accurate repair time estimates, including labor, materials, and scope of work, and communicate findings to supervisors or customers.
  • Accurately document all repairs, materials used, and time spent using company software or service forms.
  • Clearly document findings, repair recommendations, photos, materials used, and labor hours using service software or reports.
  • Communicate with and customers supervisors regarding job progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicle in a clean and organized condition.
  • Collaborate with the service and sales teams to support repair quoting and follow-ups.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial roofing, with repair-specific experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with multiple commercial roofing systems.
  • Ability to diagnose roof issues and determine the appropriate repair solution.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel locally to job sites.

Preferred Skills:
  • OSHA 10/30 Certification.
  • Familiarity with roofing software for work orders or inspections.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working on roofs of varying heights and slopes.
