DESCRIPTION

In this Sr. Product Manager role, you will lead strategic and operational management of the Custom Media and Custom Solutions business, while also maintaining product line ownership for strategic reagent portfolios. This role supports a highly cross-functional, rapidly scaling area of the business that is critical to growth across the business unit.

The successful candidate will lead custom media initiatives spanning pricing strategy, operational enablement, business continuity, and customer support, while also driving portfolio performance, forecasting, and lifecycle management for strategic reagent portfolios. The role requires strong business acumen, cross-divisional influence, and the ability to drive execution across commercial, operations, PMO, finance, supply chain, regulatory, and manufacturing partners.

This is an on-site office based role.

Key Responsibilities:

Custom Media Business Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day strategic and operational management of the custom media and custom solutions business, a key growth driver for the business unit
  • Own and evolve business processes supporting custom media and related custom solution offerings
  • Serve as key escalation point for complex customer, pricing, operational, and supply-related issues
  • Partner closely with commercial teams, PMO, BPG, operations, supply chain, finance, regulatory, and divisional stakeholders to support business continuity and customer success
  • Lead pricing strategy, governance, and commercial support activities tied to strategic accounts, revenue objectives, and custom solution opportunities
  • Drive operational enablement initiatives, including development of pricing tools, scalable workflows, and process improvements supporting business growth
  • Lead or support PPI initiatives tied to customs operations, pricing workflows, and customer experience improvements
  • Develop customer-facing strategic account materials and support key commercial growth initiatives
  • Document and maintain key workflows, stakeholder alignment, escalation pathways, and continuity plans

Strategic Reagent Portfolio & P&L Ownership

  • Maintain product line ownership responsibilities for strategic reagent portfolios
  • Manage full product lifecycle activities including forecasting, pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and profitability management
  • Maintain ownership of portfolio forecasting, pricing strategy, and business performance management
  • Drive portfolio growth and overall business performance through strategic and operational initiatives
  • Partner with commercial and marketing teams to support portfolio visibility, customer engagement, and go-to-market execution
  • Support supply continuity, risk management, product lifecycle decisions, and customer communications
  • Partner with finance teams on forecasting, business performance analysis, and portfolio planning
  • Represent the portfolio and business segment in cross-functional operational and process improvement initiatives
REQUIREMENTS

Fundamental Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, operations, life sciences, engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, portfolio management, commercial operations, or business operations within life sciences, biotech, pharmaceuticals, health tech, or related industries
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional business initiatives and influencing across matrixed organizations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with pricing strategy, forecasting, and portfolio or P&L management
  • Proven ability to drive operational improvements, scalable processes, and business growth initiatives
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI development
  • Strong understanding of data science fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting made-to-order manufacturing in related industry, customized media or plastics, strategic reagents, or other complex configurable product businesses
  • Experience working across commercial, operations, supply chain, finance, and customer-facing project management organizations
  • Experience with process improvement, PPI, pricing analytics, or operational enablement initiatives
  • Familiarity with ERP & CRM systems, or related analytics and business systems
  • Experience supporting high-growth or operationally complex business segments

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Wisconsin is $130,000.00–$173,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
