Job description

Scientific Marketing Content Specialist
Position Summary:
  • Full time salaried position
  • Onsite based out of our Tampa, FL location

The Scientific Marketing Content Specialist develops clear, compelling scientific content for marketing, sales enablement, thought leadership, and customer engagement initiatives. This hands-on role translates complex scientific information into commercially relevant narratives for technical, commercial, and executive audiences. The role also supports omnichannel content execution, content platform management, governance, reuse, and performance optimization across web, email, social, events, and sales enablement channels.
The Role:
  • Scientific Content Development & Writing
    • Write and edit scientific and technical marketing content, including thought leadership articles, web copy, campaign messaging, presentations, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing assets.
    • Develop scientific narratives and content frameworks that differentiate Catalent's capabilities across biologics, cell & gene therapy, small molecule, clinical supply services and our consumer health offerings.
    • Tailor messaging by audience, channel, customer journey stage, campaign objective, and commercial priority.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather input, validate scientific accuracy, and translate complex concepts into accessible content.
    • Partner with Business SMEs and external speakers to develop thought leader content across different mediums.
    Omnichannel Content Execution
    • Partner with Growth Marketing & Digital team, Creative, Business SMEs and Segment Marketing teams to align content with campaign strategies and customer journeys.
    • Adapt and deploy content across web, email, social, events, and sales enablement channels.
    • Support SEO/SEM and digital optimization to improve reach, engagement, and discoverability.
    Content Platforms, Governance & Reuse
    • Manage and maintain Highspot and other content platforms to support content accessibility and sales enablement.
    • Support CMS publishing, content updates, taxonomy, tagging, version control, and lifecycle management.
    • Contribute to content governance standards and drive reuse, modularization, and operational efficiency across campaigns and business units.
    Collaboration & Optimization
    • Partner with Sales, Legal, Product Development, Scientific, Digital, and Marketing stakeholders to align content with business, customer, and compliance needs.
    • Monitor content usage and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
    • Improve content development workflows, cross-functional collaboration, and scalable execution processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Scientific Communications, Marketing, or a related field required; advanced scientific degree preferred.
  • 3-6 years of experience in scientific content development, technical writing, scientific marketing, content marketing, or related roles in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or wellness.
  • Experience with omnichannel marketing execution and content management platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting content for biologics, small molecules, wellness, or cell and gene therapy preferred.
